Department of European Union Law and International Law

History

Its direct antecedent being the Department of Research into International Law and the Integration of European Law into Domestic Law, the Department of European Union Law and International Law was established in its present form in January 2020.

Research

The research activities of the Department of European Union Law and International Law involve comprehensive, scientific research into European Union law and international law.

In accordance with its profile, beyond its contributions to the academic discussions on European Union law and international law, both domestically and abroad, the Department aims to play an active role in the broader, public academic life and the promotion of science on the national and the international scene. Its ambition is to use its opportunities to further advance European and international law in Hungary and abroad.

The department’s researchers undertake theoretical, dogmatic, legal-empirical, comparative, legal-historical and legal-critical analysis as part of their contributions to the two main fields.
