András László Pap, senior research fellow and head of Department for the Study of Constitutionalism and the Rule of Law, has successfully defended his dissertation, earning the title of “Doctor of Hungarian Academy of Sciences.”’ The defense of his dissertation “A megfigyelés társadalmának proliferációjától az etnikai profilalkotáson át az állami felelősség kiszervezéséig” [From the Proliferation of the Surveillance Society via Ethnic Profiling to the Outsourcing of State Responsibility] was held at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences on 18 October 2013. The three external evaluators of the dissertation, Antal Ádám, Csongor Herke, and György Vókó, have unanimously recommended conferring the title.
